The race to launch fuel efficient small cars in the U.S has made Pontiac announce it’s plans of launching the Korean Chevrolet Aveo in America, but with the badge of G3, next spring. Pontiac dealers across the border in Canada have been selling the G3 Wave for some time now which is essentially the same car. The G3 will come as a 5-door hatch with a 1.6 litre, 106 bhp gasoline engine which will offer enough power for most drivers but will delight with good fuel economy of around 27 miles/gallon in the city and 34 miles/gallon on the highway (in manual transmission). The car is likely to be offered with both manual and automatic transmissions. Pricing is expected to be between $12,000-$15,000 and the G3 will come with AC, CD player with iPod jack, foglamps, rear spoiler and four air bags as standard.
